Surakshit Khadya Abhiyan


Union Minister of Consumer Affairs , Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan launched the SURAKSHIT KHADYA ABHIYAN, a countrywide campaign, to create mass awareness and capacity building for safe and hygienic food.


The Initiative complements the widely popular multi-media campaign JAGO GRAHAK JAGO which empowers the consumes of its rights and demands.


@ 12th position : - Power Generation from NUCLEAR SOURCE


Total power generation from nuclear reactor at 5308MWe, India is ranked 12th in the world in terms of power generation from nuclear sources.


This was revealed by Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State of state for Atomic Enegry And Space.


The installed nuclear power capacity of india is expected to increase from 5780MWe to 10080MWe.


Life Convicts


The supreme court allowed state govt. to grant remission and release life convicts not held guilty under central laws such as the anti-terroer law at prosecuted by CBI.


The Interim order will not apply to offences such as rape and rape-cum-murder where the convict has been sentenced to life. Those jailed for their entire life shall not benefit from the order.
