Champions of Change

Indian American Women sunita viswanath was honored as champions of change by the white house of united state(US).

She was among 12 other faith leaders who were awarded for their efforts in protecting environment and communities from the effects of climate change

Sunita was selected for her work to encourage hindus to take care of the environment.

PROFESSOR PETER HIGGS

Nobel prize winner professor peter higgs won the world;s oldest scientific prize the royal society;s Copley medal.

With this 86 year old Higgs joined the ranks of Charles Darwin, albert Einstein and Stephen hawking

He was awarded the medal for his fundamental contribution to particle physics and his pioneering work on the theory of the Higgs boson that explain the origin of mass in elementary particles.

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela Prize

Helena Ndume of Namibia and Jorge sampaio of Portugal were awarded with the first ever nelson rohlihlahla Mandela prize by the united nations (UN) at the UN headquarters in New York

Ndume, a female ophthalmologist, was awarded for trating blindness and eye related illnesses in Namibia and throughout the developing world, While Sampaio, the former president of Portugal from 1996 to 1006 and also the former mayor of Lisbon from 1989 to 1995 was awarded for his contribution to his country for his struggle ceremony for the restoration of democracy in Portugal.
