JANUARY UPDATE 2016 :- ALOK RAWAT
Former Cabinet Secretary Alok Rawat has been appointed as the first male member of the national commission for women, filling the 4th seat in the five member body. A 1977 batch Sikkim cadre IAS officer, MR RAWAL has served as Director/Joint Secretary in Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Road Transport and Highways , Secretary ( UPSC), Secretary (Coordination and Public Grievance) in the cabinet secretariat and Secretary in Ministry of Water Resources. River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. Alok Rawat Said that working with Commission will be a new experience and his first focus will be to learn the job.


JANUARY UPDATE 2016 Saeed Jaffrey
Saeed Jaffrey OBE was an Indian Born British Actor who appeared on radio, state, television and file. He appeared in numerous British, American and Indian Movies. He was considered to be Britain’s highest-profile Asian Actor in the 1980 to 1990. Saeed was born on 8 Jan 1929 in Malerkotla Punjab to a Punjabi Muslim Family. He ad attended Minto Circlr at Aligarh Muslim University.
He began his carred by setting up a theatre company called Unity Theatre at Delhi. His early theatrical work included riles in production of Tennessee Williams , Charistopher Fry, Wilde, and Shakespeare. He was the first Indian to take Shakespearean plays on a tour to the United States. He was also the first Asian to receive British and Canadian Academy Awards nominations and also the first Indian to receive the ORDER OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE (OBE) for his contributions to DRAMA. Saeed Jaffrey died from a brain hemorrhage at his home in LONDON on 15 November 2015.


February UPDATE 2016 Sunil Kanoria
Sunil Kanoria was appointed as the President of the Associated chamber of commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM). Kanoria has succeeded RANA KAPPOR, YES BANK MD AND CEO. Sunil has an impeccable record as an expert in the field of finance. He has been instrumental in bringing over 34000 crore rupees of consolidated assers under SREI which became one of the FIRST NBFCs to get listed on the London Stock Exchange. Sunil is the VICE CHAIRMAN of reputed non banking finance company SREI infrastructure Finance LTD. He is also the joint MD of SREI BNP Paribas, a joint-Venture between SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited And BNP Paribas Leasing Group, France.


FEBRUARY UPDATE 2016
The 2015 edition of the Global Human Development Report was released by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). India was placed at 130th place in the index thus gaining one place from its 131st place during 2014. 2015 HDI ranking is based on data from 188 countries. India score in HDI is 0.609 and it thus stood well below the average score of 0.630 for countries in the medium human development group. India stands higher than neighbors Bangladesh and Pakistan. NORWAY TOPPED THE 2015 HDI RANKING FOLLOWED BY AUSTRALIA, SWITZERLAND AND DENMARK.

Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhaduria took over as Deputy Chief of the AIR STAFF , A post that oversees the critical procurement process of the force. An alumnus of the National Defence Academy. Bhadauria was commissioned in the IAF in june 1980. Prior to taking over as DCAS, AIR MARSHAL was Senior AIR STAFF OFFICER AT CENTRAL AIR COMMAND OF IAF. He is an Experimental Test Pilot , Cat “A” qualified flying instructor and pilot attack instructor with over 4200 hours of experience on over 25 types of fighter and transport aircraft.


March Updates 2016 SACHIN TENDULKAR
NOVO NORDISK, world’s leading diabetes care company announced SACHIN as the brand ambassador for CHANGING DIABETES, its programme in india to fight against the lifestyle disease. The company officials announced Sachin as the ambassador at an event. The announcement supports NOVO NORDISK’s efforts focused on creating awareness about diabetes and its related complications. Speaking on the occasion , Sachin Said diabetes is growing concern not just in india but the world over and stressed the need for creating public awareness. In india 69.2 million people have diabetes by 2035.


DECEMBER 16 2015
The supreme court held that RBI is liable to disclose information about the banks and financial institutions for their action against the loan defaulters including industrialists under the RTI Act 2005. The court further ruled that RBI has statutory duty to upload public interest and not the interest of individual banks. It has no legal duty to maximize the benefit of nay public sector or private sector bank, and thus there is no relationship of trust between them.
