K N Vyas distinguished Scientist and Associate Director , Reactor Project Group of the Bhabha Atomic Research Director, BARC from Dr Sekhar Basu, Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission and Secretary to the Govt. of India Department of Atomic Energy. Vyas graduated from the 22nd batch of the BARC training school and joined FUEL Design & Development Section of Reactor Engineering Division of Bhabha Atomic Research Engineering Division of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. During the past 36 years Vyas has gained a vast experience in design and analysis of nuclear reactor fuels. Subsequently as HEAD Reactor Project Division he has also worked for design and analysis of reactor system. He was worked extensively in thermal hydraulics and stress analysis of critical reactor core components. Vyas has laso participated in design and analysis of the TEST BLANKET MODULE PLANNED to be installed in ITER FRANCE. Vyas has been conferred several awards, which include Indian nuclear society outstanding service award 2011, Homi bhabha science and technology award 2006


Dinanath Mangeshkar Award 2016
Filmmaker Sanjay leela Bhansali actor Ranveer Singh and popular Marathi actor –comedian prashant damle have been chosen for the prestigious 2016 pandir dinanath mangeshkar award, prashant damle will be conferred with master dinanath mangeshkar award for his work in the field of theatre, film and music. The prestigious annual award is given to personalities from Marathi and Hindi theatre, music and film. The award will be bestowed upon them by LATA MANGESHKAR at a function to be held in PUNE on 24 APRIL to commemorate PANDIT DINANATH MANGESHKAR DEATH ANNNIVERSARY. The award was instituted in 1999 in the memory of DINANATH MANGESH father of LATA MANGESHKAR.


16 Feb 2016 Updates
Govt. unveiled the first – ever policy for the country’s capital goods sector which envisages creation of 21 million additional jobs by 2025. The policy envisions increasing the share of capital goods in total manufacturing activity from 12 % at present 20% by 2025. The objective of the national capital goods policy are to create an ecosystem for a globally competitive capital goods sector to achieve total production in excess of Rs 7.5 LAKH crore by 2025 from the current RS 2.3 Lakh crore. It also aims increase direct domestic employment from the current 1.4 million to at least 5 million and indirect employment from the current 7 million to 25 million by 2025, thus providing additional employment to over 21 million people.

According to WHO India is home to 13 out of 20 most polluted cities in the world with air pollution level deteriorating during the past decade. Indian citizens had a higher exposure to average particulate matter than their Chinese counterparts, an analysis of satellite data on particular matter has shown environmental group Greenpeace has claimed. It said while china’s strong measure to curb pollution have contributed to the biggest year on year air quality improvement on record in contrast India;s pollution levels continued a decade – long increase to reach the highest level on record.


London No 1 Expensive cities
London has been ranked as the world’s most expensive city to love and work in ahead of New York and Hong Kong according to a UK study that puts MUMBAI at 17th. The only Indian city on the list of top 20, Mumbai is ranked 17th ahead only Berlin, Johannesburg and Rio de Janeiro by the UK real estate firm Savills survey. More expensive that it was 5 year ago, and has been ranked at the top of the index since 2014. The cost of living in the British capital comes to more than double the cost of other English-speaking cities such as Sydney, Los Angeles and Chicago.


WHATSONSTAGE AWARD, 22 feb 2016
Nicole Kidman has won best actress in a play honours at London’s WhatsOnStage awards for her depiction of a real life Scientific heroine in PHOTOGRAPH 51. Kidman played Rosalind Franklin one of the team that discovered the double helix structure of DNA, in Anne Ziegler’s drama, which also was named best new play. Benedict Cumberbatch was named best actor in play for HAMLET which was also named best revival. Jusi Dench was named best supporting actress for The WINTER’s Tale. Musical performance prizes went to Imelda Staunton for GYPSY and Matt Henry For KINKY BOOTS. The awards are sponsored by website whatsonstage.com and decided by public vote.

His career began in the 1983 ans since then he has contributed in 650 Bollywood movies.
