Galle Literary Festival
Indian author Anuradha Roy won the prestigious DSC prize for South Asian Literature for her novel SLEEPING on Jupiter at Galle Literary Festival in Sri Lanka. She was awarded by Sri Lanka Prime Minister RANIL WICKREMESINGHE. The winner of the prize receives 50000 US dollars.


Atulesh Jindal appointed as a chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) the apex policy making body of the income tax department. Jindal, a 1978 batch Indian Revenue Service IRS officer currently working as member in the CBDT.


Indian Classical Dancer
Mrinalini sarabhai died from complication related to old age. She was 97 year old she was born in Kerala and completed her education in Switzerland and Kolkata, where she began her training as a dancer. She had started her career as dancer of classical Indian dance from BHARATA NATYAM but also mastered in Khthakali. Besides dance she has written so many novels, plays, poetry and etc.

Sushma Swaraj inaugurated the Indian-Palestine digital learning and innovation center at the campus of the A1 Quds University in Ramallah. The center is part of India’s efforts at supplementing capacity-building in Palestine.

EKO, mobile based Financial technology company, announced the launch of Indo-Nepal remittance services in partnership with Nepal’s Prabhu Money Group. The service will benefit 50 Lakh Nepali migrants living across India. Using this services Indian and Nepali citizens living in India can send money to Nepal. This services provided in the form of CASH TO CASH, CASH TO BANK ACC, CASH- TO- CO Operative bank acc, top-unpremittance cards. This service allowed up to 12 transactions in a year and can perform Rs 50,000 per day transaction. If user transfer 30K then charges are 150Rs and if user transfer 50K then charges are 200Rs.


22 January 2016 Update
The superfast train “MAHAMANA EXPRESS” from VARANASI (UP) to Delhi, flagged off by Prime minister. MAHAMANA Express train all coaches have been manufactured in Bhopal Coach Factory. The train formally operational from Jan 25 2016, thrice a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.


25 January 2016 Updates
At Mumbai Central Railway Station, a new High Speed wi-fi services in a function by Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu Minister of Railway. After the inauguration of wi-fi services Mumbai Station has gained the distinguished status of being the first ever station in India to have high speed internet facility for its thousands and thousands of passengers. Railwire (RailTel Corporation) WI-FI will be available to any user who has working mobile connection on a Smartphone.

Vice Admiral Girish Luthra AVSM, VSM, took charge as the Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of the Southern Naval Command.


Cool Hand Luke
George Kennedy who won an Academy Award for his performance in Cool Hand Luke and then later starred in the goofy NAKED GUN franchise died in LDAHO. He was 91. In 1967, he appeared in the Oscar-winning World War II film THE DIRTY DOZEN.


16 February 2016 EVENT :- >FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Union food Processing minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal inaugurated FIRST MEGA FOOD PARK at GETALSUD VILLAGE IN RANCHI district (state JHARKHAND). This food park contains 51.5 acre patch of land at cost of Rs 114.73 crore. This mega park will have state of the art facility like multi chamber cold storage, vegetable dehydration line and dry warehouse and also very useful to reduce the chances of crop wastage.


26 February 2016 Updates
Goverdhan Mehta was conferred with federal republic of Germany’s prestigious cross of the order of Merit. The German Consul General (Achim Fabig) presented the award to Hyderabad-based professor Mehta. It is the highest tribute the Federal Republic of Germany can pay to individual for achievements in political, economic, social and for all kinds of outstanding services to the nation in the field of social, charitable work.
